Shed Shout Out! - June 2026

Early summer is the time for Fetes, Fayres and Open Days and this year sees us busier than ever with our pop-up information stall for local events. We had decided to try to get out and about a bit more this year so it’s been a happy coincidence that several groups have been in touch - and we’ve been happy to accept - their invitation to be a part of their plans.

Although we keep very busy with making and mending jobs, we never forget that our main reason for being is about social connection and being a supportive resource for men in our community. Spreading the word is just as important to us as ‘ammering, sawin’ and making the tea (OK, maybe not that last one).

Story Chair making

The latest project to leave our Shed is this Story Teller chair for the newly refurbished woodland area at Winslow CE School. This is in addition to the dozen or more bird boxes we were able to supply them back in the Spring.

We’re looking forward to meeting our Friends of Winslow School friends and some of the children at their Summer Fair on Friday 26th June from 3:30 – 5:30.

We will also be in Adstock from 1:00 on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June for their biennial Open Gardens event. A classic car display is a feature too so a couple of us will be bringing our Shed fettled cars along for the outing.

All we need now is suitably summery weather!

Warm Space logo It might be spring but it can still be chilly at times and with the cost of heating still prohibitive you can be assured of a warm welcome at the Shed!
