Shed Shout Out! - August 2026

The latest project to leave our Shed is this fine pair of Lambretta scooters belonging to a couple near Whitchurch.

Lambretta Boys

We are careful to avoid any work that might take business away from those that depend on it but, after struggling to recruit a reliable specialist, they came to us on the off-chance that we might have someone with the right experience and skills.  They were in luck!

Bob and Dave were more than happy to relive their misspent youth and set to work.  The machines are now in great shape and ready to be ridden-off into the sunset.

Notice to Quit

Which is quite an apt theme for what follows. We have always known that our tenure in Station Road was a temporary arrangement while the site was awaiting redevelopment. That time has now come and we have been given formal ‘Notice to Quit’ - we aim to be packed-up and away by the end of September. It was a bit of a shock to finally receive the news but, in reality, there are no surprises here. We had hoped for a seamless transition into new premises when the time came but this now seems unlikely. We have a busy few weeks ahead of us but what we are sure of is that Winslow Shed will keep going come what may. If that means a regular meeting spot for coffee and a catch-up (but without the sawdust) for a while then so be it.

We look forward to seeing you at the Winslow Show on August 31st when I’m sure we will have more news.

Book Swap for Swanbourne

We were commisioned by Swanbourne Parish Council to make them a community Book Swap cabinet.

Here's the result!

A tall one for 'big people' and a smaller one for 'smaller folk'.....

We received ths message from the Parish Council....

"We are so sorry it’s been a few weeks since we’ve collected our boxes, it’s been pretty busy here.
However we have them now in place finally for the community to enjoy and they are brilliant, a huge huge thank you for them!
You guys are a real asset to our community and the impact you have is unmeasurable, thank you."

Warm Space logo It might be summer and sweltering but it can still be a bit lonely at times you can be assured of a warm welcome at the Shed!
